​In October 2024 I decided I would like to knit socks. I could not knit, read a pattern or hold the needles. A few other people showed an interest and "Sock Club" was born. With Lucy's gentle touch and easy teaching style I could confidently cast on and form the basic knit stitch after our first meeting! Since then (almost 6 months ago)  I have progressed so far, completing a shawl and now embarking on a Jumper. All the time Lucy has guided me and given me such confidence to keep on knitting. Lucy is always full of joy when she sees any of her learners work, always knowing the right thing to say and encouragement to give. If I look back at my early, much less skilled, knitting I can honestly say Lucy was just as proud and full of compliments then as she is on my newest knit, everytime pointing out whatever improved skill strikes her first and never with a bad word.
